2016 Marble, acrylic, tempera, latex, silicon, charcoal, chalk on brick.
Europa is a commissioned domestic installation in a house in South London. As part of the take over of the house, for a week all the art work was taken down and replaced with my work. The theme was the sense of dismay and cultural dislocation that the recent leave vote has created. This work is a permanent installation.
Europa inspired by idea of the European project as a landscape around a hearth in a family home. Images reflect the installation and preparatory ideas that lead to the creation of Europa.
The final image is a Sketch for ‘Europa’, marble shards arranged on grass.
